I wondered if I could add a bit of texture to a video, without losing Adobe Illustrator’s innate crispness. Experimenting with the charcoal brushes from Illustrator’s brush library, I created two illustrations of a men in trees. Imported and animated in Adobe After Effects, here’s the final product.
Do note that this was a stylistic experiment, a texture study. The animation is brief, with a minimal amount of storytelling. - Joe Gast
