100% Photoshop

This summer I took another SCC class, Concept Art with instructor Brady Parell. Brady, a concept artist with Microsoft Game Design is a Adobe Photoshop master.

For those unfamiliar with concept art, according to Wikipedia it is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. Concept art is usually created in Photoshop.

Everyone else in the class had a Wacom Tablet. As I was Wacom-less, Brady brought in a tablet for my use. Working with the tablet was a struggle at first, but I recently acquired a Wacom and have learned to appreciate its usefulness. I created the image above in Adobe Photoshop with a mouse, prior to my tablet purchase. – Joe Gast
